Responsibilities:
– creation and assembly of virtual scenes for Virtual Production
– asset optimization
– work with internal asset database
– filling scene blanks with props based on concepts
Requirements:
– knowledge of the Unreal Engine 4/5 game engine (Level Design, Matte Paint, Environment, Lighting design as an advantage)
– 3D editors (the more, the better) — 3DSMax, Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, Houdini
– Substance, Motion Builder, MoCap, Photogrammetry as an advantage
– understanding of the processes of creating computer graphics in film and advertising
UNREAL ENGINE OPERATOR IN VIRTUAL PRODUCTION
Responsibilities during filming:
– Working on-site under the supervision of the supervisor.
– Connecting and synchronizing render nodes before filming.
– Synchronizing content.
– Making edits to on-screen content via MultiUser (moving objects, adjusting materials, working with PostProcess Volume).
– Connecting and setting up tracking systems.
Responsibilities outside of filming:
– Testing and optimizing content for the upcoming filming.
– Testing new UE systems in the context of Virtual Production.
– Maintaining order in the workplace
Requirements:
– Basic understanding of the main modules in UE, confident work with Blueprints and materials.
– Experience with Composure, nDisplay, Niagara modules.
– Basic understanding of how a local network works (setting static addresses, working with a network mask, setting up network access to folders).
– Skills in working with any tracking system (OptiTrack, Mo-Sys, Stype, Vive).
– Any skill from the list will be a plus:
– Proficiency in any programming language.
– Experience with OCIO (color spaces, EOTF).
– Proficiency in any 3D modeling software.
– Experience in Broadcast.
– Experience in Resolume/Ventuz/D3.
– Experience in TouchDesigner/Notch.
